Overview

  • Delhi’s Mukhyamantri Khel Protsahan Yojana now awards Olympic and Paralympic medallists Rs 7 crore for gold, Rs 5 crore for silver and Rs 3 crore for bronze.
  • Incentives now cover Asian and Para-Asian Games with gold medallists receiving Rs 3 crore, Commonwealth and Para-Commonwealth champions earning Rs 2 crore and National Games winners awarded Rs 11 lakh.
  • The revised yojana guarantees Group A posts for Olympic and Asian Games gold and silver medallists, Group B roles for bronze and Paralympic winners and Group C appointments for other event medallists.
  • The Mukhyamantri Digital Scheme will distribute 1,200 high-performance i7 laptops to meritorious Class 10 students and establish 175 ICT labs in government schools next year.
  • Athlete support now includes up to Rs 20 lakh in training grants, Rs 10 lakh in medical insurance and up to Rs 2 lakh for international travel and participation expenses.
