Overview
- The schemes comprise a ₹20 crore Integrated District Project Fund and a ₹33 crore District Project Fund split evenly across Delhi’s 11 administrative districts.
- Each district magistrate will lead a Project Approval Committee with additional district magistrates, block development officers and senior officers to expedite project sanctions.
- Allocated funds are earmarked for minor infrastructure and welfare works including road and drainage repairs, upgrades to schools and dispensaries, and community centre maintenance.
- Implementation responsibility lies with specialized agencies such as the Public Works Department, Irrigation and Flood Control Department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta says the initiative will enhance transparency, reduce bureaucratic hurdles and empower local authorities to deliver basic services more efficiently.
