Delhi Building Fire in Mustafabad Kills 20-Year-Old, Brother Injured

Police have identified the victim as Junaid and opened an investigation after rescuers responded before dawn.

  • Junaid, 20, was taken to GTB Hospital and declared brought dead, while his elder brother Sameer, 23, was treated and discharged.
  • Police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 106(1), 287 and 324(4) and formed a team to investigate.
  • Two additional fires reported later in Munirka and Bindapur were quickly contained and caused no injuries, officials said.
