Overview
- Delhi Airport and AAI confirmed the Automatic Message Switching System has been repaired and automated operations are back to normal.
- An AMSS failure disrupted data to the Auto Track System and ATIS, forcing controllers to process flight plans manually.
- More than 800 flights were delayed during the outage, with average waits of about 45–50 minutes and long queues reported across terminals.
- AAI said ECIL and the original equipment manufacturer assisted in diagnosing and fixing the fault, with backlog clearance underway and subsequently reported as completed.
- Airlines advised passengers to monitor updates, and knock-on delays were recorded at Mumbai, Lucknow, Jaipur, Amritsar and Chandigarh.
