Delhi Assembly Launches Digital Training Centre for MLAs Ahead of Paperless Monsoon Session

  • Speaker Vijender Gupta inaugurated the NeVA Training Centre at the Vidhan Sabha Complex as MLAs began three-day sessions on July 21.
  • The facility, constructed by the Public Works Department, is equipped with 18 high-speed computer terminals and smartphones preloaded with NeVA for practical learning.
  • Sessions led by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs trainers cover accessing legislative documents digitally, tracking proceedings in real time, and submitting questions and motions electronically.
  • The training marks a final preparatory step for incorporating the National e-Vidhan Application into daily operations of the Delhi Assembly’s first fully paperless monsoon session.
  • This initiative underpins Delhi’s broader digital governance strategy and aligns with the Digital India campaign to improve transparency, accountability and efficiency.
