Overview
- The Audit Para Monitoring System is now fully operational in the National Capital Territory of Delhi for real-time tracking of CAG audit follow-up.
- Live portal data showed 142 audit paragraphs uploaded by departments but only 30 Action Taken Notes submitted.
- Many departmental replies were incomplete, unsigned or not in the prescribed format, rendering them unfit for Public Accounts Committee review.
- Departments were directed to resubmit properly formatted notes within three weeks, and the Assembly Secretariat will issue uniform guidance.
- Developed by the Finance Ministry’s Expenditure Department and conceptualised by the Controller General of Accounts, the system displays observations, deficiencies, responses, acceptance or return status and statutory timelines to modernise oversight.
