The India Meteorological Department (IMD) sounded a yellow alert for Sunday morning in the national capital.

  • Citywide AQI hovered around 391–392 early Sunday, with 19–20 of 39–40 CPCB stations in the ‘severe’ band; hotspots such as Anand Vihar, Shadipur and Wazirpur touched 440–445.
  • CAQM has Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan in force, restricting construction and certain industrial activities after Stage IV was rolled back midweek.
  • Delhi’s government said two former GRAP‑4 steps are now permanent: no fuel without a valid PUCC and entry limits for vehicles below Bharat Stage VI.
