Delhi Announces AI 'Opportunity Handbook' for Government Schools

A six-month industry-backed rollout will guide students to build prototypes that tackle national priority problems.

Overview

  • The digital guide will be hosted on the AI Grind website, where students register and choose sectors to work on defined challenges.
  • The programme aims to reach about 500,000 learners across all 11 districts of Delhi over the next six months.
  • More than 200 partner organizations are slated to support project-based work that links classroom learning with real-world applications.
  • Targets include work across 10 sectors, development of nearly 1,000 prototypes, selection of 100 finalists and grooming of 50 student AI ambassadors.
  • Officials said they are consulting IAF test pilot Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla on adding space as a focus area under the AI Grind movement launched on December 7 by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
