Delhi Airport Ranks 10th in ACI’s Asia-Pacific and Middle East Hub Connectivity Index

Doubling transfer capacity through Phase 3A upgrades saw Delhi Airport become the only Indian entry in the top 10 hub ranking.

Overview

  • The Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East placed Delhi International Airport 10th in its 2024 Air Connectivity Ranking, the only Indian airport to make the top 10.
  • The airport provides seamless connections to 153 destinations worldwide, comprising 81 domestic and 72 international routes.
  • A Phase 3A expansion project doubled the International-to-International transfer area, boosting capacity and passenger convenience.
  • Delhi Airport links to 88% of India’s long-haul destinations and operates 56% of all India-origin long-haul weekly flights, with 42% of long-haul travellers using it as their primary gateway.
  • In recent years, over 20 exclusive international routes—including Phnom Penh, Bali Denpasar, Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo Haneda—have been added to its global network.
