Delayed Odyssey Cruise Ship Finally Departs Belfast After Months of Setbacks

The Villa Vie Residences' Odyssey, delayed by repairs and paperwork, has set sail for a round-the-world journey.

The Odyssey cruise ship, initially scheduled to depart in May, faced a four-month delay due to maintenance issues and administrative paperwork.
Passengers, who have been living in Belfast hotels, expressed relief and excitement as the ship finally left Belfast Lough on Thursday.
The ship's first stop is in Scotland for refueling, before continuing its journey to Brest, France, and other international destinations.
Many passengers, including Holly Hennessy and her cat, Captain, had sold their homes to embark on this three-and-a-half-year voyage.
Villa Vie Residences covered costs for passengers during the delay, offering hotel stays and reimbursing travel expenses around Europe.
