Delaware Day Care Center Doubles as Drug Den: Owner and Accomplice Arrested

Police find cocaine, heroin, guns and cash at the facility while children were present, sparking concerns about childcare safety regulations.

Jessica Cooper, 29, and Cameron Christmas, 33, were arrested at The Little Peoples LFCC 2 day care center in Dover, Delaware, on charges of drug possession, distribution, and child endangerment.
Police found 93 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of crack, 302 bags of heroin, two handguns, and over $32,000 in cash at the day care center.
Four children were present at the time of the raid and were subsequently turned over to their guardians.
Both Cooper and Christmas have previous run-ins with the law, including drug charges and failure to appear in court.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and regulation of childcare facilities.
