Delaware Blue Coats Hire Brad Jones as General Manager
Sources say 76ers executives selected Jones to run the Blue Coats’ roster and operations for the team’s player-development pipeline.
Overview
- Reports from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin and Liberty Ballers say Brad Jones has been hired as the Blue Coats’ general manager, though the team has not issued an official announcement.
- Jones comes from roughly eight years in the NBA G League offices in New York where he handled player contracts, transactions and league operations after starting his career with the Orlando Magic.
- He is reported to replace Ariana Andonian, who left the Blue Coats to become general manager of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.
- Delaware’s 2026–27 roster is expected to lean on two-way players Caleb Love and Rayan Rupert and could add players released after NBA training camp as the 76ers still hold a vacant two-way spot.
- The hire underscores the 76ers’ hands-on approach to their G League affiliate and makes the coming weeks’ roster moves and any formal team announcement the key items to watch.
