Del Mar Racetrack to Host Breeders' Cup Consecutively in 2024 and 2025

The premier horse racing event, which saw a record wagering of $182,908,409 in 2021, will return to the San Diego venue for the fourth and fifth time, with the races slated for November 1-2, 2024, and October 31 - November 1, 2025.

In the 2021 edition of the championship at Del Mar, despite attendance limits due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event recorded a remarkable total wagering of $182,908,409.
The Breeders' Cup at Del Mar will maintain its tradition of a two-day championship, with 14 Grade 1 races planned for each year.
The last time a single track hosted consecutive Breeders’ Cups was between 2012 to 2014 at Santa Anita Park, making this decision a notable occurrence in the event's history.
This decision marks the continuation of a successful partnership with Del Mar and commitment to California horse racing, according to Drew Fleming, Breeders' Cup president and CEO.
