DeGrom Throws Bullpen Session, Targeting Next Week for MLB Return

Jacob deGrom threw 32 fastballs in a bullpen session with no issues to recover from elbow inflammation.
DeGrom will add breaking balls to his next bullpen session on Friday as the next step in his recovery.
There is still no exact timetable for deGrom's return, but he could rejoin the active roster without a rehab assignment.
In six starts this season, deGrom is 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings.
DeGrom signed a five-year, $185 million contract this offseason after winning back-to-back Cy Young Awards with the Mets.
