Overview
- Third-party marketplace StackSocial is offering Microsoft Office Professional 2021 for $27.97 and Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus for $49.97 with listings that deliver instant downloads or emailed redemption codes.
- Those purchases are one-time, perpetual licenses that install on a single Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC and are not linked to a Microsoft account or usable on macOS.
- The packages include core Office apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access and in some listings Teams, but they do not include Microsoft 365 cloud features or rolling feature and AI updates.
- Several listings impose short redemption or activation windows and device-activation limits, so buyers should verify SKU terms, OS and hardware requirements, and seller reputation before buying.
- Owning a perpetual license can cut recurring subscription costs for users who only need local apps, but it also means fixed functionality and reliance on Microsoft’s limited lifecycle security updates rather than continuous feature improvements.
