Overview
- The IMD said the Bay of Bengal system intensified into a deep depression and was crossing the coast close to Gopalpur between Gopalpur and Paradip, with movement reported around 17–18 kmph.
- Red alerts for extremely heavy rain were issued for Odisha’s Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Kalahandi and Kandhamal, with orange and yellow warnings covering most remaining districts.
