Overview

  • Decathlon has launched an immediate recall of the Kipsta B900 BOX NBA Tarmak basketball hoop following safety tests by its Kipsta team.
  • A removable red crank used for height adjustment can detach during use and trigger a vertical collapse of the support post, posing serious injury risks.
  • Affected units carry reference numbers 4239136 and 8618940 and were sold between September 6, 2024 and July 1, 2025.
  • Customers will receive detailed safety guidance and will not incur any costs, in line with EU product safety requirements.
  • The recall comes as Europe recorded a decade-high 3,925 product recalls in the first quarter of 2025, driven largely by the auto and consumer goods sectors.
