• Kojima Productions and Line Mileage have launched development of an adult-targeted Death Stranding animated feature written by Aaron Guzikowski.
• The anime will present an original story in the franchise’s universe rather than retell the 2019 game’s plot.
• Raised by Wolves creator Aaron Guzikowski said the project offers a chance to bring new dark and hopeful tales to Kojima’s mind-bending world.
• This animated venture is separate from A24’s live-action Death Stranding film, which is directed by Michael Sarnoski.
• The franchise’s cinematic expansion comes as the sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, prepares for its June 26, 2025 debut on PS5.
