Deadpool 3 Expected to Revitalize MCU, Says X-Men Director

Matthew Vaughn, director of X-Men: First Class, has expressed confidence that the upcoming Deadpool 3 will rejuvenate the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which has recently seen box office disappointments.
Deadpool 3 will feature the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, marking Jackman's long-awaited return to his iconic X-Men role.
Vaughn has suggested that the film will provide a 'jolt' to the MCU, and that Reynolds and Jackman are set to 'save the whole Marvel universe'.
The film is also expected to feature Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra, a character she played in 2003's Daredevil and a 2005 standalone film.
Deadpool 3, directed by Shawn Levy, has completed principal photography and is scheduled for release in theaters on July 26, 2024.
