• Investigators responding to gunfire around 2:01 a.m. on Aug. 13 found a 32-year-old man with multiple upper-body wounds on the 1600 block of West Estes Street.
• Witnesses said they heard more than a dozen shots, and detectives recovered numerous shell casings at the scene, including from a rifle.
• Police released an initial description of the shooter as a Black male with short hair wearing a black T-shirt and jean shorts who fled on foot.
• Detectives processed the residential block for hours, collecting evidence and photographing the crime scene.
