Overview
- In Perené (Chanchamayo), a huaico buried a truck and a rustic home, with at least four people reported dead and others still missing, including victims identified as Thalía Pariona Enciso and Ronald Jara Surichaqui.
- A separate huaico at km 47 of the Central Highway in El Mirador, Chinchao (Huánuco) completely blocked the Huánuco–Tingo María route, stranding buses and cargo trucks as users called for immediate heavy machinery from Provías.
- Senamhi placed 15 regions under a red alert for intense rains, lightning and strong winds, warning of heightened risks of landslides, activation of quebradas and flooding in vulnerable areas.
