- Requests submitted by 23:59 on Wednesday, September 30 will be processed into the second payment lot and credited on October 26, 2026 according to Caixa’s calendar.
- Workers and public servants with accounts active from 1971 through October 5, 1988 or their heirs must use the Repis Cidadão portal with a gov.br silver or gold account or the FGTS app to check balances and file claims, or they can apply in person at any Caixa agency.
- Caixa receives and forwards requests to the Ministry of Finance for review and authorization before making deposits and values are updated using the IPCA-15 inflation index from account closure to the month before payment.
- About R$26 billion is available for roughly 10.5 million potential claimants with average balances near R$2.8 thousand and the program runs on a monthly claims calendar through the end of 2026.
- A final legal deadline to request refunds is September 2028 and any amounts not claimed by then will become permanently part of the Tesouro Nacional, so beneficiaries who think they have balances should verify and apply soon.
