Overview
- Dead & Company’s three-night run Aug. 1–3 at Golden Gate Park is sold out, with founding members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge and Jay Lane alongside openers Billy Strings, Sturgill Simpson and the Trey Anastasio Band.
- Fans can catch the Aug. 3 finale live in about 30 IMAX theaters nationwide, where ticket holders will receive commemorative posters and lanyards.
- All three nights will stream live in HD and 4K globally on Nugs.net pay-per-view, including two full Dead & Company sets, guest openers, and 60 days of “All Access” to rare Grateful Dead archives.
- The city has rolled out over 400 Grateful Dead–themed banners, tie-dye Muni wraps, a sanctioned Shakedown Street market and fare-free expanded service on the 5 Fulton and N Judah lines for ticket holders.
- Officials expect nightly crowds of around 60,000 to drive a more than 50% spike in hotel demand and to surpass the $31 million economic impact generated by Dead & Company’s 2023 Oracle Park visit.
