Overview

  • Founding members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart will join John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane for three sold-out 60th anniversary concerts at Golden Gate Park’s Polo Fields.
  • The August 3 finale will be simulcast live in IMAX theaters nationwide at 6 p.m. PT in a three-and-a-half-hour presentation with a 20-minute intermission.
  • IMAX screening tickets are priced at $40 plus fees and include a commemorative mini-poster and lanyard for attendees.
  • About 30 IMAX venues, including Bay Area locations such as AMC Metreon and AMC Bay Street, will host the live concert broadcast.
  • A newly remastered IMAX presentation of e GrGrateful Dead Movie is set to screen in mid-August as part of the ongoing celebration.
