Dead by Daylight's Project T Canceled After Poor Playtest Results

Behaviour Interactive halts development on its co-op PvE shooter spin-off, citing unsatisfactory feedback and commercial risks.

Project T, a four-player co-op shooter set in the Dead by Daylight universe, was announced in May 2024.
The game underwent playtesting in July through Behaviour Interactive's Insider Program.
Despite some positive feedback, internal risk assessments deemed the project commercially unviable.
Midwinter Entertainment, the studio behind Project T, has been shut down, with employees offered positions at Behaviour's Canadian studios or severance packages.
This cancellation follows the release of another Dead by Daylight spin-off, The Casting of Frank Stone, which received lukewarm reviews.
