Overview
- Test captain Temba Bavuma has a grade two calf strain and is out for six to eight weeks, with Aiden Markram to lead the two Tests beginning October 12 in Lahore.
- Quinton de Kock has reversed his ODI retirement and is recalled for both ODI and T20I squads after last featuring in the 2024 T20 World Cup final.
- David Miller will captain the T20Is and Matthew Breetzke the ODIs, as most all-format players are rested for the white-ball leg except Corbin Bosch and Dewald Brevis.
