DDG Files Emergency Motion to Prevent Halle Bailey’s Italy Trip with Son

A court will soon decide if Bailey can take Halo to Italy after DDG alleged her mental health issues threaten his safety.

Overview

  • On June 4, DDG filed an emergency motion to ban Halle Bailey from traveling to Italy with their 17-month-old son, Halo, citing concerns over her mental stability.
  • In his filing, DDG alleges Bailey made repeated threats of self-harm and once left their home holding his firearm while "emotionally unwell and potentially suicidal."
  • Bailey secured temporary physical and legal custody of Halo in May after accusing DDG of physical, emotional, verbal and financial abuse, and obtained a restraining order that expired at the June 4 hearing.
  • DDG is seeking sole legal and physical custody of Halo or, alternatively, court-mandated supervised custodial exchanges facilitated by a neutral third party.
  • A judge is expected to issue a ruling on Bailey’s travel request ahead of the next custody hearing scheduled for June 24.
