- Tom King adapted his own Eisner-winning Mister Miracle run, wrote every episode of the eight-episode series, and is the showrunner for the project.
- The series is framed for HBO Max/DCU and is in animation production, but no public release date has been announced and the studio has not confirmed any live-action reprisals by the voice cast.
- Nathan Fillion was previously announced to continue as Guy Gardner and will appear in the animated series alongside the newly named leads.
- The show will bring King and Mitch Gerads’ intimate, trauma-focused New Gods story—about PTSD, marriage and the Anti-Life Equation—into core DCU continuity, a move that could shape future franchise storylines and casting choices.
