Overview
- On Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, DC Studios co‑CEO Peter Safran confirmed Mason Thames will voice Dick Grayson/Robin in Dynamic Duo.
- DC says the film will use Swaybox’s hybrid process that pairs puppetry, miniatures and animatronics with CGI and real‑camera shooting to create a stop‑motion‑like look.
- Festival reporting and studio descriptions indicate the story follows young Dick Grayson and Jason Todd as 'street rats' who take different paths, framing the movie as an origin tale.
- The project is produced with Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho, directed by Swaybox co‑founder Arthur Mintz from a Matt Aldrich script, and is scheduled to open in theaters on Sept. 22, 2028.
- Several supporting cast names have circulated in trades but remain unconfirmed and studio comments have left the film’s continuity with the wider DCU unclear, which could affect whether voice actors later appear in live action.
