Overview

• The Metropolitan Police Department retrieved the suspect vehicle used in the June 30 shooting on the 1200 block of Seventh Street NW.
• No arrests have been made and authorities are offering up to $25,000 for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
• Three bystanders were struck in the attack, including 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, an intern for Rep. Ron Estes who died on July 1.
• Detectives believe Tarpinian-Jachym was not the intended target and are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the multiple shooters.
• Rep. Estes and colleagues have honored Tarpinian-Jachym’s service as a UMass Amherst rising senior and asked for privacy and support for his family.
