  • The vehicle was en route from the West Potomac Park staging area of the Army’s 250th birthday parade to a railyard in Jessup, Maryland.
  • The DC Metropolitan Police Department cleared the contract truck driver of criminal intent or negligence in its initial investigation.
  • No military personnel were involved in the accident and the Army has referred all inquiries to law enforcement.
