Overview

  • Krypto Saves the Day!: School Bus Scuffle” premiered on YouTube August 13 as a roughly five-minute largely silent short in which Krypto chases a pigeon across Metropolis and steadies a school bus teetering on a bridge.
  • The animated short will be included on Superman’s PVOD release starting August 15 and on the 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD home-media release scheduled for September 23.
  • Warner Bros. and DC Studios have announced three more episodes—Halloween Havoc, Package Pandemonium and Coastal Catastrophe—to be released individually through 2026.
  • Credit for the first short goes to writer-director Ryan Kramer with production by James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios in partnership with Warner Bros. Animation.
  • The series is positioned as family-friendly content designed to sustain audience engagement and extend Krypto’s presence between major DC cinematic releases.
