Overview
- The publisher revealed Absolute Justice at its New York Comic-Con panel on Friday as a five-issue miniseries that will begin in April 2027 and unite Absolute Universe versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Jo Mullein’s Green Lantern, and Wally West’s Flash.
- Jason Aaron will write the event with Juan Ferreyra as lead artist, marking the first full team-up across the Absolute line and appearing on a Ferreyra-drawn cover that features the core roster.
- DC and reporters at the panel said Martian Manhunter is the narrative lynchpin who brings the group together, building on threads already seeded across his and other Absolute solo books.
- A trailer shown at the panel frames the antagonists as Darkseid and the universe’s ‘true rulers,’ using the line “Abandon all hope” to signal high, existential stakes for the heroes.
- DC stressed Absolute Justice will not interrupt or change ongoing Absolute solo series and announced related production moves, including Cliff Chiang filling in on Absolute Batman #26 and a Black Canary one-shot next year, as the line expands after strong sales and Eisner recognition.
