Davos Deals Lift India Pitch With Andhra’s $10 Billion RMZ Tie-Up and Maharashtra’s ₹14.5 Lakh-Crore MoUs

Officials say the focus turns to converting MoUs into projects as Andhra presses Google to speed its Vizag AI data centre.

  • Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian to fast-track a planned Visakhapatnam AI data centre tied to a $15 billion investment, with a gigawatt-scale build and 480 acres already allotted.
  • A new AndhraRMZ partnership targets mixed-use, digital, industrial and logistics projects, including a 10 million sq ft GCC park in Vizag, a 1 GW hyperscale data-centre cluster, and a 1,000-acre logistics park in Rayalaseema, valued at about $10 billion over five to six years.
  • Naidu proposed that 1 million of IBM’s planned 5 million trainees nationwide come from Andhra Pradesh and pitched a Quantum Innovation Centre in Amaravati, with IBM saying it would review the proposals.

  • Andhra’s IT minister Nara Lokesh said Davos talks are expected to convert into new announcements within 90 days, as the state courts AI, data centres and creative-tech investments alongside training and IP partnerships with firms and WIPO.
