David Tennant Confirmed as Host for 2025 BAFTA Film Awards

The celebrated actor will return for a second year to host the ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall on February 16, 2025.

David Tennant, known for roles in Doctor Who and Rivals, will host the 78th BAFTA Film Awards for the second consecutive year.
The ceremony will take place at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London and will be broadcast on BBC One, iPlayer, and Britbox in select regions.
BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip praised Tennant’s 2024 performance as warm, witty, and whip-smart, leading to his reappointment as host.
New additions for the 2025 BAFTAs include a Children’s & Family Film category and updated voting criteria for the Outstanding British Film award.
Key dates include January 3 for longlist announcements, January 7 for EE Rising Star nominees, and January 15 for final nominations.
