David Landsman Indicted on Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment and Battery Charges

The grand jury indictment requires Landsman to answer formal criminal charges in court.

Overview

  • A Cherokee County grand jury returned an indictment on Monday that charges Landsman with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment and one count of battery.
  • Prosecutors say the April 10 incident involved strangulation by pressure to Lindsie Chrisley’s throat and neck and that she was thrown to the ground, suffering a head laceration and other visible injuries.
  • Landsman was arrested and booked in April on misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault/strangulation after police responded to the scene and documented injuries.
  • Chrisley filed for a protective order after the April episode and in that petition described an earlier Feb. 13 incident and alleged prior violence involving her 14-year-old son.
  • Landsman’s lead attorney says he categorically denies the allegations and will plead not guilty as the case moves through Georgia courts, and Chrisley’s representative has declined further comment and requested privacy.
