David Chalian Appointed CNN's Washington Bureau Chief

David Chalian, a veteran political journalist, has been promoted to CNN's senior vice president and Washington, D.C. bureau chief.
He will manage CNN's Washington political news coverage, including polling, decision desk operations, and special political programming.
Chalian replaces Sam Feist, who left CNN to become CEO of C-SPAN earlier this year.
His extensive experience includes roles at Politico, Yahoo News, PBS NewsHour, and ABC News before joining CNN in 2013.
The promotion comes as CNN adapts to changes in viewership patterns, with more audiences migrating from linear TV to digital platforms.
