Overview

  • The convoy left Ace Cafe in London at 7am and is following the A590 before turning onto Park Road and Abbey Road into Barrow, with an expected arrival at approximately 3:15pm.
  • Several town centre streets—including Cornwallis, Duke, Lawson and Market—are closed from Saturday morning through Sunday evening to accommodate the procession and related events.
  • Cumbria Police and National Highways have increased traffic patrols and erected crowd barriers along the route, advising motorists to allow extra travel time and spectators to remain behind safety barriers.
  • The festival will include live music stages, a charity concert, motorbike stunt shows, a makers market, a food festival and appearances by Lili Myers and Si King.
  • Proceeds from the two-day festival support NSPCC Childline and CancerCare as organizers aim to exceed the £120,000 raised in 2024.
