Overview
- The convoy left Ace Cafe in London at 7am and is following the A590 before turning onto Park Road and Abbey Road into Barrow, with an expected arrival at approximately 3:15pm.
- Several town centre streets—including Cornwallis, Duke, Lawson and Market—are closed from Saturday morning through Sunday evening to accommodate the procession and related events.
- Cumbria Police and National Highways have increased traffic patrols and erected crowd barriers along the route, advising motorists to allow extra travel time and spectators to remain behind safety barriers.
- The festival will include live music stages, a charity concert, motorbike stunt shows, a makers market, a food festival and appearances by Lili Myers and Si King.
- Proceeds from the two-day festival support NSPCC Childline and CancerCare as organizers aim to exceed the £120,000 raised in 2024.
