Davao Philippines Temple Dedication Set for May 3, 2026

The first Latter-day Saint temple on Mindanao will broaden access for members in the country’s south.

Overview

  • The First Presidency set a public schedule that begins with a media day on March 23, invited tours on March 24–25, and an open house March 26–April 10, excluding Sundays.
  • Elder Dale G. Renlund will preside at the dedication, with the session broadcast to the temple district at 10 a.m. local time and rebroadcast at 2 p.m.
  • The Davao temple will be the southernmost in the Philippines, with a second Mindanao temple in Cagayan de Oro currently under construction following an August 2024 groundbreaking.
  • The Alabang Philippines Temple is scheduled for dedication on January 18, 2026, by Elder David A. Bednar.
  • The Philippines has about 900,000 Latter-day Saints in roughly 1,400 congregations and 14 temples in various stages, including three operating and others scheduled, under construction, or in planning.
