Daughter Pleads Guilty to Helping Boyfriend Kill Mother in Bali

Heather Mack pleaded guilty in a Chicago court to conspiring with her then-boyfriend to kill her mother during a 2014 vacation to Bali.
Mack was convicted in Indonesia of being an accessory to murder and served seven years of a 10-year sentence before being deported to the U.S. in 2021.
Mack's boyfriend remains imprisoned in Indonesia, serving an 18-year sentence for murder.
Prosecutors say Mack and her boyfriend planned the killing to gain access to Mack's $1.5 million trust fund.
Mack faces up to 28 years in prison when she is sentenced in December.
