Sandro Eric Sosing, a Filipino darts player, was taken to the hospital after experiencing chest pains during practice at the PDC World Darts Championship in London.
The 41-year-old withdrew from his scheduled first-round match against Ian White on medical advice following an on-site medical assessment.
Ian White advanced to the second round by default and is set to face Ritchie Edhouse, the reigning European Champion, in his next match.
The incident reduced the afternoon session’s matches to three, with notable performances including Stephen Bunting's comeback victory over Germany's Kai Gotthardt.
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) stated that updates on Sosing's health condition will be provided in due course.
