Daredevil: Born Again Directly Connected to Original Netflix Series, Confirms Vincent D’Onofrio

Echo reintroduces major characters from Netflix era, while Daredevil: Born Again series recovers from initial setback.

Vincent D’Onofrio, who portrayed Wilson Fisk / Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil, confirmed that the new Daredevil: Born Again series will be “directly connected to the original Daredevil”.
D’Onofrio emphasized that Marvel wants to do these characters justice by homing in on the right tone to tell their stories and embracing the already-established canon.
Echo, Marvel’s newest live-action series, reintroduces a couple of major characters from the studio’s Netflix days, including Wilson Fisk / Kingpin (D’Onofrio) and Matt Murdock / Daredevil (Charlie Cox).
Charlie Cox’s cameo as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been reflected in other series like Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil: Born Again has had to pull itself from the ashes, as the entire 18 episode premise previously announced at 2022’s San Diego Comic-Con was officially scrapped after the first four episodes were seen.
