Danny Masterson Surrenders Firearms, Cleared for State Prison Transfer

The actor, convicted of rape, had been delaying his transfer to state prison due to unaccounted firearms, which have now been properly relinquished.

  • Danny Masterson, convicted rapist and former 'That ‘70s Show' actor, has finally surrendered his personal stockpile of automatic weapons, three years after being ordered to do so.
  • Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in September for two of the three rape charges against him and has been in Los Angeles County jail since then.
  • His move to state prison was delayed due to a probation report that found he failed to turn over 10 of the 23 firearms registered in his name when he was arrested in 2020.
  • Nine weapons, including six assault rifles and two handguns, were relinquished to TJ Gun Sales in Oregon on November 28 for storage, and a ninth weapon was turned over to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff on Nov. 30 to be destroyed.
  • Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo has confirmed that all of Masterson’s weapons have been properly relinquished and he will be transferred to state prison.
