Danny Imray Close to £5m Move to Wrexham

The transfer would strengthen Wrexham’s wing-back options as they prepare for a season with expanded Championship play-offs.

Multiple outlets reported on Monday that Wrexham have agreed terms to sign 23-year-old right-back Danny Imray from Crystal Palace for around £5 million, though the move has not been officially completed.
Imray developed through Palace’s academy after joining in 2021 but never made a senior appearance for the club and built his reputation through loan spells at Bromley, Blackpool and West Brom.
He impressed in the Championship during a January loan to West Brom, making about 16–17 appearances and playing a notable role in their survival push, which prompted West Brom’s interest in re-signing him.
Crystal Palace have signalled the likely departure by leaving Imray out of their Como Cup pre-season squad while Wrexham expect him to be their first summer signing pending medicals and contract formalities.
Wrexham missed the play-offs by two points last season and view defensive reinforcements as important with the EFL expanding the Championship play-offs to include teams finishing seventh and eighth next campaign.
