• In a new interview on How to Fail with Elizabeth Day, Minogue said she was ‘torn to pieces’ by coordinated jokes targeting her looks and accent during her 2007 Graham Norton Show appearance.
• She alleged that the BBC production team planned the mocking segment, which Graham Norton and guest Sharon Osbourne executed with remarks about her appearance and musical talent.
• On air, Norton said she ‘looked bizarre’ and poked fun at her Australian accent while Osbourne pointed to Minogue’s bottom when asked what she looked like.
• Minogue and Osbourne clashed as X Factor judges over Minogue’s relationship with executive producer Simon Cowell, a feud that included Osbourne screaming abuse in Minogue’s dressing room.
• Osbourne had also described their time together in her autobiography Unbreakable as ‘an odious chore’ and compared Minogue to ‘a mosquito that wouldn’t go away.’
