Danielle Fishel Performs on DWTS Despite Hamstring Tear, Scores 19/30 and Vows to Keep Dancing

Her partner Pasha Pashkov will adjust choreography to rest her injured leg.

Overview

  • Fishel said the tear happened in rehearsal and that a deep-tissue massage left the back of her leg heavily bruised, which she showed in a photo on the broadcast.
  • She and Pashkov danced a cha-cha to Corona’s “Rhythm of the Night” and earned 7, 6 and 6 from the judges for a total of 19 out of 30.
  • Judges offered encouraging feedback, and Fishel quipped that adrenaline and body makeup helped her get through the live performance.
  • She told People she met with a surgeon, does not need an operation, and declared she would only leave early “on a stretcher.”
  • Fishel said she is icing, taking Epsom salt baths and ibuprofen, remains in the competition after a double elimination that sent Corey Feldman and Baron Davis home, and is slated for TikTok Night on Sept. 30.
