Danielle Fishel Completes Breast Cancer Treatment but Faces Painful Recovery

The actress and podcast host shared details of her post-radiation challenges, including severe physical side effects and ongoing fatigue.

Danielle Fishel, 43, announced she has completed 20 rounds of radiation for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of early-stage breast cancer.
Her treatment included 15 rounds of whole breast radiation and 5 targeted sessions to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Fishel described painful side effects such as severe sunburn, rashes, itching, and discomfort that make daily activities challenging.
Doctors expect her recovery to take two to three months, during which she has been advised to exercise and stay hydrated to aid healing.
She will begin hormone therapy with Tamoxifen after recovering from radiation, following earlier successful lumpectomies to remove the cancer.
