Overview
- Police were called at about 10:30am on January 9 to a Hill Houses Lane property in Cheriton where Gilly Livie, 68, was found and died at the scene despite efforts by officers and paramedics.
- A man at the address was taken to hospital with serious injuries, then arrested on suspicion of murder on January 19 and transferred from hospital into police custody.
- The suspect, named by police as Daniel Livie, 39, of Winstreet Close in Alton, was charged on January 20 with murder.
- He also faces a count of threats to kill relating to alleged threats made to a man on January 8.
- Police have not released any motive or forensic findings as inquiries and court preparations continue.
