Dallas Mavericks and guard Jaden Hardy have agreed on a three-year, $18 million contract extension.
The deal strengthens the Mavericks' backcourt, which features stars Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson.
Hardy, a second-round pick in 2022, has averaged 7.9 points in 121 games over two seasons.
The extension comes as the Mavericks face roster challenges, including a wrist injury to Dante Exum.
Quentin Grimes, another young guard, did not reach an extension agreement and will enter restricted free agency next summer.
