Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, and Anne Hathaway to Star in Colleen Hoover's 'Verity' Adaptation

Amazon MGM's upcoming thriller, directed by Michael Showalter, brings the best-selling novel to theaters with a star-studded cast.

Dakota Johnson will play Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer hired to complete a book series after a mysterious accident leaves the original author, Verity Crawford, unable to continue.
Josh Hartnett joins as Jeremy Crawford, Verity's husband, while Anne Hathaway portrays the enigmatic Verity in this gothic, psychosexual thriller.
The film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's best-seller will be directed by Michael Showalter, with a script penned by Nick Antosca and contributions from multiple writers, including Hoover herself.
